Susan Watson, MD, is Raleigh’s dry eye specialist. After spending 30-plus years as a general ophthalmologist performing over 17,000 refractive eye surgeries, Dr. Watson dedicated herself exclusively to helping people overcome dry eye disease. 

Dr. Watson’s passion for comprehensive dry eye solutions comes from her commitment to her patients. After 30 years of seeing people suffer from itchy, painful eyes and blurry vision, she decided to do something about it. 

Since 2017, Dr. Watson has combined her ability to understand her patients’ unique needs with the latest diagnosis and treatment technology, including intense pulsed light and skin tightening therapies. This combination provides immediate relief while working toward long-lasting solutions.

Over 35 Years of Experience

Dr. Watson obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Masters of Arts in Statistics from Miami University in Ohio. After completing medical school at the University of Cincinnati, she completed her residency at Michael Reese Hospital and the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. Following her residency, she completed her corneal disease and surgery fellowship at Ohio State University.

Dr. Watson is proud to be a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Medical Association.
